Astro Auxiliary
The Frederick Douglass High School Auxiliary Team (Northstarettes, Majorettes, Flags) is composed of dedicated young ladies who have a passion for dance, flag, and baton; and a commitment to the art of team precision. Throughout the year, the Astro Auxiliary promotes and maintains school spirit through performances at various athletic events, activities, and competitions. Our organization is based on the principles of dedication, self-discipline, confidence, poise, and humility. Through our auxiliary team, every member will have the experience that will help blossom them into young ladies with qualities that extend far beyond dance.
Our Mission
The mission is to provide all auxiliary members with a successful and meaningful experience in a positive and healthy environment. We are working towards maintaining high academic achievement, increasing artistic skills, practicing positive sportsmanship, learning effective time management, and forming strong relationships. The success of the team is due to a strong commitment from the members, parents, and the coaching staff. The auxiliary teams will always exhibit impeccable sportsmanship and positive attitudes toward team members, coaches, and the band community.
